Linux Devices Reports that about 1,000 OpenMoko Neo1973 phones are available initially, primarily targeting hackers and developers, with general availability of a "mass market" phone expected in October.

Rod Whitby has got one in Adelaide be but reports:
"it is a *very* early engineering sample (i.e. mine cannot make
a phone call at the moment, even from the command line)"
