Australian Web Hosting Comparison

I'm now looking for a web hoting provider with servers in Australia. I realise we'll pay more and am prepared for this.

Even if you're not searching, you could still use these web hosting reports as a benchmark against which to measure your own hosting provider:

Submitted by purserj on Tue, 03/20/2007 - 11:41We're going to be moving to our own box for our hosting and web services, away from a reseller account. I'm currently tossing up between the following:
Management Panels:
ISPConfig
Webmin
VHCF
Linux Distros:
Gentoo
CentOS
Debian/Ubuntu
Also looking at FreeBSD but has the disadvantage that none of the Control Panels have versions for Free
What hosting are you using
Submitted by gollyg on Tue, 01/30/2007 - 07:59Wondering what hosting people are using. Always find that looking for a new host is a bit like walking into that used car dealership. Best way i have found is by asking people about their experiences.
So my current setup is:
an account with www.bluehost.com
I use for testing and experimental sites. They offer a good value/feature tradeoff and I have been really impressed with their openess in terms of telling you when they screwed something up.
