12 month Fixed Term Contract

Macquarie Park, North Ryde

This well known Australian market leader is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Web Designer to lead a major eBusiness project, based in their modern Macquarie Park offices.

You will be responsible for masterminding the creative concept and interface development of their customer facing websites with the aspiration to achieve industry-leading web design.

Responsibilities include:

Mastermind the overall design concepts for websites

Author the web design concept handbooks for each website to guide web development

Develop page structures for websites

Identify user functionality and usability needs in cooperation with the eBusiness team

Plan webpage interfaces including usability design, wireframes, detailed layout

Create a common design element library

Create full non-functional webpage interfaces using web development tools

Search engine optimisation

Consideration will be given to applicants with the following profile:

Tertiary or TAFE qualifications in web design or related discipline

Proven mastery in designing and developing websites

Highly creative individual with aspiration to deliver exceptional design

Attention to detail

Advanced expertise in using web development tools (e.g. Creative Suite)

Aptitude to be at the forefront of applying sophisticated web technologies (RSS, Flash, Ajax, CSS etc.)

Deep understanding of usability and functional architecture aspects

Ability to convert design concepts into implemented solutions through collaboration with the eBusiness delivery team

Exceptional written communication and presentation skills including the ability to engage different stakeholders in developing and implementing designs

Self motivated, proactive and accepting of personal accountability
